MEALS: Overnight campers provided with 3 meals a day. Day campers provided with dinner Friday and lunch and dinner Saturday.

ATHLETIC TRAINERS

Certified Athletic Trainer on staff and present for all camp activities.

WHAT TO BRING

•  Campers to bring all gear (sticks, mouth guard, goggles, etc.)
•  Goalies to bring all pads and gear, also.
•  Bring proper clothing and shoes for turf and grass fields.
•  Bring extra money for camp store or stacks if needed during camp.

Overnight campers should bring toiletries and bath shoes and any sanitary items needed.

2020 Tech Lacrosse Summer Camp

Grades 7th-12th

Come be a part of Tech Lacrosse summer camp at Virginia Tech. Tech Lacrosse summer camp is designed to help girls improve their overall game, learn what it takes to play at the college level and be successful on the field. Tech Lacrosse summer camp offers training sessions for all skill sets. Camp is held on the beautiful and historical Virginia Tech Campus. There will be nightly games and activities like glo-lax (glow in the dark lacrosse) along with downtime in the student rec center with bowling and pool tables. Overnight campers stay in the dorms on campus with bed linens, blanket and pillow with pillowcase are provided free of charge. Register now and let Virginia Tech Women’s Lacrosse head coach John Sung, his staff and coaching staff from other well known universities help you to achieve your lacrosse goals.

DORM ROOM KEY DEPOSIT
Dorm rooms require a $35 deposit (check given at check-in) for room keys and incidentals. At check-out rooms are REQUIRED to be left the same as they were at check-in. No food, drinks or trash left in dorm room at check-out or deposit will not be returned. Deposit will then be applied to cleaning. Dorm rooms come provided with flat and fitted sheets along with pillow, pillowcase and blanket. Dorm bathrooms should be kept clean of trash and ALL trash should be put in trash receptacles or properly disposed of.

ROOMMATE REQUESTS
Roommate requests CANNOT be changed for any reason once a roommate has been listed.

Campers that have been requested as a roommate by more than one camper will be paired with first camper requesting that roommate.

All roommates will be paired with another camper close to age and location from where they are coming from.

CAMP RULES
Campers to report to every session and meal unless cleared with a camp counselor. Campers are always to respect other campers and staff. Campers needing to leave early for any reason must notify a camp counselor. Campers are to stay in designated areas only during camp (no wandering around campus).  Campers are to be in their assigned rooms when it is “Lights Out”. Campers setting off alarms, found wandering dorm hallways, stairways, other floors or walking around campus will have their parents called and be asked to leave camp immediately with NO credit issued. Campers who break any rules will have to leave camp and there will be NO credit given.

INSURANCE CARDS
All copies of insurance cards MUST BE emailed back to Tech Lacrosse Camps by July 21st. If insurance card is not received by this date, you will not be allowed to check in or receive a room key (for overnight campers) until cards are sent to email or a photo is texted. WE WILL NOT MAKE COPIES OR TAKE COPIES OF CARDS AT CHECK IN. Once there is confirmation that we received a copy, you may check in and participate in camp.

CREDITS (NO CASH REFUNDS)
Any/all refunds will be given in form of credit for future events. No cash refunds given for any reason.

A $200 non-refundable deposit is kept for cancellation for ANY reason. Any cancellations until July 10th will be given a credit (minus the $200 non-refundable deposit) towards a future event.

Credits are transferable to other family members only.

Cancellations from July 10th to July 23rd will only receive a credit for medical reasons.

Cancellations due to medical reasons must be made via email ONLY and have a Dr. note/excuse scanned/copied to the email by July 23rd to be given a credit. Cancellations due to medical reasons without a Dr. note are not eligible for credit.

Cancellations made the day before camp (July 23rd) or the day of camp (July 24th) are not eligible for credit for any reason.

Cancellations will be evaluated by staff 30 days (August 23rd) from the last day of camp. Please allow us time before inquiring about or requesting information regarding credits.

All travel requests must be made online only (there will be no requests accepted via email). Any requests made via email will be instructed to register online before the deadline. Deadline to register for shuttle is July 10th.  Shuttle registrations made AFTER July 10th will have a $50 late fee charged. No shuttle registrations will be taken after July 20th no exceptions. Email will go out the week of camp with shuttle instructions. 

One-way shuttle fee:  $50 (cost after July 10th $100)

Round trip shuttle fee:  $90 (cost after July 10th $140)

NEW: Tech In-Motion Mobile Camps!

To accommodate everyone, Tech Lacrosse Camps is introducing Tech In-Motion! For those of you who can’t make it up to THE beautiful Blacksburg, we will come to you! These clinics are designed to accommodate YOU, it can be a one- or two-day clinic at any time during the year. Perfect for fall ball, winter tune-ups and summer!

These clinics are tailored to your group’s needs, ranging from defense, offense, draw, goalie work and more!

These clinics will be run and organized by John Sung and the Virginia Tech Lacrosse coaching staff. Responsibility of requesting group: must make your clinic open to all players in your area (NCAA RULE). You must have secured a field for the clinic, provide goals and nets, and have a parent or coach present to help coordinate with – we will handle the rest!
